Skin (July 15)
We were lying side by side, in silent, waiting for the other to speak, to say the words we both knew were true… But darkness took over, so we shut our eyes, our mouths and souls and fell soundlessly asleep. I woke up by the soft touch of your arm against mine, your skin soft and smooth felt just like mine… I thought I was holding my own hand until realized it was yours. How could this moment last forever ? The kind delicate embrace of our naked souls lying on the white linen sheets of dreamy despair. Or was it eternity, whispering a new endeavor ? The warm smell of our skin still cradles my dreams. In my nights, short sleepless nights I do remember our skin.

Thank you for your uplifting words. I try to do my best, some days it’s easy, others it’s more difficult. Thanks again for taking the time to read.

This line: “The kind delicate embrace of our naked souls lying on the white linen sheets of dreamy despair.” The juxtaposition/personification makes its vulnerability and open stand out. It is a beautiful construction.

Thank you for taking the time to read it. It means a lot if you find it beautiful. Sometimes words just come out and it’s more like juggling… it’s not voluntary. But juggling can be hard too.
